Theatrical Walks Between Music and Poetry

Since 2004 Voices within the walls resonates in the present the words of the great classics of ancient and modern literature, enlivened by original musical accompaniments often composed for the occasion. Concerts readings, theatrical performances, performing lectures, meetings with authors, new and renewed forms of proposal, which the public will be able to attend in the oldest and most evocative places of the City: the loggia of Peretti Square - heart of the Old Incasato - the small garden carved out of the ruins of the ancient medieval castle and, as of this year, the Queen's Bath, a cozy and intimate archaeological area designed around a centuries-old Roman-era cistern that was recently unearthed.

The texts of some twentieth-century authors, chosen by Antonio Tricomi, will solicit a reflection on the progressive barbarization that has characterized our West, starting from the disillusioned dreams of the early postwar period and arriving at the stark reality of our present; we will then find consolation and nourishment in the immortal words of great classics, whose voice fortunately has never died out. All counterpointed by the deep and engaging notes of Sergio Capoferri's accordion.
