An atmospheric route through the city center
Shadowy, torch-lit alleys, smoke, pertuosities and darkness, a sense of mystery and antiquity, to discover, among the mazes of small houses in Grottammare's upper town, a light, a warmth. A hut, there it is: the Nativity. The Child, Mary, Joseph, the donkey and the ox. A real Living Nativity organized in the historic center of Grottammare was born in 2004, with hundreds of figures in period costume. It is organized by a specially formed committee, but above all, the Living Nativity is obtained thanks to the more than 300 figurants, who with dedication, faith and a lot of patience and good will, but above all heart, welcome us on the three dates by reenacting the ancient crafts of the past.
