Further extension for the vacation bonus: it will be possible to apply for it until December 31, 2021: those who have already applied for the voucher - up to 500 euros - to spend in Italian accommodations can therefore take advantage of it until the end of the year. An amendment extending the current deadline of June 30, moving it forward by six months. The Ristori Decree had already extended the previous deadline for the vacation bonus: It was originally scheduled to expire at the end of 2020, but was moved to June 2021. The bonus still had to be applied for by December 31, 2020, but for those who applied and did not take advantage of the voucher there is now time until the end of the year.
What is the vacation bonus. This is a contribution of up to 500 euros to be spent on stays in hotels, campsites, tourist resorts, agritourisms and B&Bs located in Italy. It must be spent in one lump sum and by only one member of the household. The bonus is valid for 80% as a discount applied directly by the accommodation facility on the price and for the remaining 20% as a deduction on the following year's declaration. The amount of the subsidy varies according to the composition of the household: 150 euros for a single person, 300 for two people, and 500 euros for households of three or more people. So far, very few households have actually spent the bonus, partly because so few facilities adhere to it.
